This privacy policy applies to all personal information collected by Amelias Healthcare. Types of personal information collected / how information will be collected
Amelias Healthcare collects personal information via its website, through correspondence and emails, during discussions and throughout the general course of dealings with prospective and existing candidates, nominated referees, contacts and authorities.
Personal information includes, but is not limited to personal contact details, employment history and references, educational qualifications, superannuation details, tax file number, identification documents including drivers licence, passport, birth certificate, citizenship or visa details, medical details and information concerning workplace incidents, accidents, investigations and litigation relating thereto.
Personal information will also be collected from any enquiries made of referees nominated by you and to verify medical or competency results reasonably required for engagement in a particular placement.
We will collect personal information from clients (workplaces) concerning your work performance, appraisals, complaints or any disciplinary action.
We will collect information regarding workplace incidents, accidents or investigations in which you have previously been involved or in which you are involved during a placement.
How personal information will be used
The personal information collected by Amelias Healthcare will be used to assess your suitability for prospective placements, to assess your suitability for continued placement within a workplace or to recommend further training. Personal information will also be used to verify credentials provided by you.
We will disclose your personal information only in connection with your application as a candidate for placement by Amelias Healthcare and related activities or for any ongoing placement or investigation involving a placement.
We will not disclose your personal information for a secondary purpose unless required or authorised under the Privacy Act 1988 or other Australian law, by a court or tribunal order, or to protect our legal rights.
Storage and security of personal information
We will implement procedures reasonably necessary to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, alteration, unauthorised access and disclosure otherwise than as provided for in this privacy policy. We are unable to guarantee the security of data exchanged through the internet however will take all reasonable technical precautions to protect such information.
Access and correction
We will take reasonably necessary steps to ensure that personal information collected and stored by us is accurate, up to date and complete. We will respond promptly to candidates who request correction or modification of their personal information.
Access to personal information will be provided to candidates subject to the exceptions contained in the Australian Privacy Principles. Enquiries for access to or modification of personal information should be made directly to Amelias Healthcare.
